Mini Jam 63: Future - Day 1 progress
After the first day of working on the game for the Jam, here's my results so far.
I spent the whoooole day trying to decide what to make for the jam. The restrictions that the Mini Jam gives you is usually very helpful, but this time it was a bit more loose: just limiting the used colors. I like working in pixelart, so I don't have problems with that. It didn't help nail down the gameplay right away.
After discarding ideas like space shooters (the idea just didn't seem exciting) and RPGs (because those are still too hard for me), I settled on what I usually like - narrative games!
So, I'm using INK, that beautiful little program to make stories with choices, with the extension that can plug it straight into Unity. I experimented with it before, so I already knew the basis. I've done the main coding for writing the lines, selecting dialogue options, and made the first graphics!
Yeah, I really like District 9...
And look, it's the Saurian Translator! https://saurian.krystalarchive.com/
Tomorrow I plan on doing more work on it, but for today I'm too tired.
